Rock Hill is not only my home town, it is also the place I do the vast majority of my business. While I serve the entire York County area, my focus is, and has always been, Rock Hill. Originally a railroad depot, Rock Hill got it’s name from the fact that railway conductors refereed to the depot as a “Rocky Hill.” The name stuck and the town grew up around the textile mills that bordered the train tracks.
The population is now approximately 67,000 people making Rock Hill the largest city in York county and the 5th largest in the state. Many people love the city due to it convenient location between Charlotte and Columbia. One can be in a big city and enjoy it’s amenities while not living there day to day. Also, Rock Hill is just a few hours from the beach in one direction and the mountains in the other.
Rock Hill is home to Winthrop University which is rated as one of the best public universities in South Carolina. There are also many parks, museums, and galleries throughout the city. We have a world class biking center located in the River Walk district and miles of trails to hike or bike.
Whatever your interest are, there’s something for you in or around Rock Hill. Real estate is conducted on a local level. If you are interested in living in Rock Hill, give me a call.
